We're here to answer any questions you may have
- How soon can I receive care?
Once we know your needs, we will approach our carers, who usually respond within 24-48 hours.
As soon as we know their availability we will send you their profiles. It’s then up to you to decide which carer you like and we can book that carer straightaway.
We recognise that it is helpful to meet a carer in advance of agreeing to an engagement. Where this cannot be easily arranged in person, we encourage you to arrange a video call (e.g. via Skype) with your recommended carer.
- How much does home care from TrustonTap cost?
Prices range from £15 – £25/hour depending on your care needs and carer experience.
- How do I find the right carer?
We will send you a selection of carer profiles and you choose your carer dependent on your specific requirements.
We will ensure that you have the same carer each time, we will not send you different carers without contacting you first. This is usually only due to sickness or leave.
- What checks are done on TrustonTap carers?
We carefully screen and interview all our trusted carers via a multi-stage recruitment process to ensure that all our carers are competent, compassionate, kind, honest and reliable.
Everyone is fully-vetted and DBS background checked.
Plus, we obtain two references on all carers that we take on, to ensure the good character of the people who will be supporting you.
We also conduct thorough individual interviews.
Over the last 3 years, we have taken on less than 5% of carers that have applied to us.
We only list those individuals who we would be happy to recommend to our own relatives.

“I arranged the care over a bank holiday weekend, but I don't think the booking system knew that, arranging a phone appointment on the bank holiday. Then on the Tuesday, I got a list of carers, but no phone call. It all worked out, but systems need improving.”
“efficient, but a bit pricey.”

“Great support and communication from everyone but I have short term memory issues so can't remember names - faces are better!, the only thing I would say is the first replacement carer when Anne Marie was off sick was terrible, but the second was lovely, kept on top of work and kept me informed of everything”
