“My mother is fairly able, just cannot use her left hand at the moment as she fractured her wrist. So Ellen doesn’t need to do very much, just empty the commode in the morning, get her meals and do the washing. It is hard for my mother to find her enough things to do to fill her hours! She finds the stairs hard work: her bedroom is at the top of the (3-storey) house, and I know it’s a effort for her to get up there. However, she is very kind and always cheerful, and very willing to do whatever is required. My mother likes her.”

“Jatin was kind and flexible in his approach to my mum but it became clear my mum would have preferred a female carer to have done most of the care just because of the male/female factor which of course is not his fault . But he was very accommodating”

“Susan was very kind to my Auntie who was suffering from vascular dementia and did not make it easy for Susan to help. She was very patient, trying several times to gain entry and always sending me messages when it was difficult to get in or do her work. She always took time to have a coffee with my Auntie and talk to her properly which I think is something that was very important to my Aunt.”

“Heidi was soft and gentle spoken. She was very reliable on timing and kept the house clean and tidy. Took care of the household chores. However on the "caring" side she is quite regimental and less flexible with timings. She also got tired quickly. A pleasant person to have around.”

“Sharon has been a great help with my husband who has dementia , Taking him out for tea to different venues and has plenty of ideas for things to do. She is flexible in what help she gives, bringing Peter to collect me after a cataract op when I couldn't drive and looking after him when I had to go to London unavoidably. She is cheerful, capable and reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others who need a carer.”

“Jackie has been providing care and support to my father for five-days a week since Feb 2018. She quickly gained his trust and established a great rapport and always delivers on what she says she will do – nothing is too much trouble, from buying him puzzles, taking the dog and dad for a small walk, to mowing the lawn. Dad looks forward to Jackie visiting and the dinners which she warms up, combined with the gentle reminder to take his medication shortly afterwards. The stimulating conversations instigated by Jackie keeps Dad’s mind active; this combined with the many books she has brought to read keeps him fully engaged despite his dementia. Without asking, Jackie routinely provides progress and feedback reports – this is nicely reassuring for me as I like to know how things are going. I am confident in leaving Dad in the care of Jackie as I know she will do more than is required. Her skill, compassion and understanding is outstanding, which Dad and I greatly appreciate. Thank you.”

“Jane is a lovely, experienced carer. She is gentle, respectful and attentive to her clients needs. Despite the first hesitation to receive any help, my mother now looks forward to the days when Jane comes. They talk and laugh together and it really brightens up my mother's day. Jane also keeps me informed with updates over email. We are really delighted that we found Jane.”

“We all feel very blessed to have Alina caring for our father, who suffers from dementia. She is knowledgeable, efficient and very caring. She has developed an excellent relationship with him. The balance between caring and professionalism is a fine line and Alina instinctively gets it right. This is not something that can be easily taught, which is why I know we are lucky to have her.”
