Once we know your needs, we will approach our local Bushey carers, who usually respond within 24-48 hours.
As soon as we know their availability we will send you their profiles. It’s then up to you to decide which carer you like and we can book that carer straightaway.
We recognise that it is helpful to meet a carer in advance of agreeing to an engagement. Where this cannot be easily arranged in person, we encourage you to arrange a video call (e.g. via Skype) with your recommended carer.
Prices range from £17 – £25/hour depending on your care needs and carer experience.
We will send you a selection of profiles for carers in the Bushey area, and you choose your carer dependent on your specific requirements.
We will ensure that you have the same carer each time, we will not send you different carers without contacting you first. This is usually only due to sickness or leave.
We carefully screen and interview all our trusted carers via a multi-stage recruitment process to ensure that all our carers are competent, compassionate, kind, honest and reliable.
Everyone is fully-vetted and DBS background checked.
Plus, we obtain two references on all carers that we take on, to ensure the good character of the people who will be supporting you.
We also conduct thorough individual interviews.
Over the last 3 years, we have taken on less than 5% of carers that have applied to us.
We only list those individuals who we would be happy to recommend to our own relatives.

Continue reading In the Domesday Book, Bushey is first mentioned as a small agricultural village named ‘Bissei’ (later changed to ‘Biss(h)e’ and later to ‘Bisheye’). However, stone age tools found by chance in the area indicate that the area dates back to the Palaeolithic period. A Roman road running through the town has also been revealed to be Roman; possible Roman villas have also been uncovered; and an example of Roman tessellated pavement has been discovered near Chiltern Avenue. In ancient times, Bushey was a civil parish. In 1894, the Local Government Act divided the parish into two: the part within Watford Urban District became Bushey Urban Parish, and the part outside, in Watford Rural District, became Bushey Rural Parish. In 1906, Bushey Urban was renamed Oxhey, and Bushey Rural was separated from the Watford Rural District as the new Bushey Urban District.
