We provide flexible home care, home help, and companionship carers across Bushey from £15/hour.
The town of Bushey is located in the Hertsmere borough of Hertfordshire in the East of England. It is home to more than 25,000 people. Bushey Heath is a large neighbourhood southeast of Bushey bordering the London Borough of Harrow, reaching elevations of 165 metres (541 feet).
In the Domesday Book, Bushey is first mentioned as a small agricultural village named ‘Bissei’ (later changed to ‘Biss(h)e’ and later to ‘Bisheye’). However, stone age tools found by chance in the area indicate that the area dates back to the Palaeolithic period. A Roman road running through the town has also been revealed to be Roman; possible Roman villas have also been uncovered; and an example of Roman tessellated pavement has been discovered near Chiltern Avenue.
In ancient times, Bushey was a civil parish. In 1894, the Local Government Act divided the parish into two: the part within Watford Urban District became Bushey Urban Parish, and the part outside, in Watford Rural District, became Bushey Rural Parish. In 1906, Bushey Urban was renamed Oxhey, and Bushey Rural was separated from the Watford Rural District as the new Bushey Urban District.
Our local Bushey carers can provide the care and support you need, including companionship, transport & errands, gardening, personal care, hygiene, paperwork, dementia care, shopping, and food preparation in the Bushey area.
