We find Age UK an excellent source of free advice and information at both a national and local level.

Healthwatch Oxfordshire

Healthwatch is a good rating service for local health services where users can give and review ratings for local hospitals, doctors, dentists etc.

Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. They check whether hospitals, care homes, GPs, dentists and services in our homes are meeting national standards. They do this by making inspections and publishing their findings which can be of value when comparing different providers. Unlike traditional domiciliary care organisations, TrustonTap is defined as an introductory agency by CQC, and does not need to register in the same way.

Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice is an excellent source of advice and support across a wide variety of topics. They have significant resources online but also offer confidential advice on the phone, on 034 4411 1444 and in person for free. They pride themselves on being impartial and independent.
